Step 1: Review Our Available Services
Review our Legal Help page to ensure our available services meet your need. Please note that we cannot accept every case. We cannot help with traffic tickets or criminal cases and all family law cases must have an element of domestic violence in order for us to serve you.
GLS only serves clients in the following areas: Pinellas, Manatee, Sarasota, and Wimauma.
Our LITC program serves Pinellas, Sarasota, Charlotte, DeSoto, and Lee counties.
Step 2: Apply for Services
GLS is scheduling in-person appointments only if absolutely necessary. Clients must fill out the online legal application below. If you have any questions or accessibility issues, please call our offices to walk through the application via phone. You have the right to reasonable accommodations.
Apply by Phone
Available Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. excluding holidays. Call us at (800) 230-5920.
You can apply online for legal services 24 hours a day. A member of our staff will contact you to let you know if your application has been accepted or not. Emergency cases (domestic violence and urgent housing matters) will be prioritized and contacted first. All forms MUST be completed.

Step 3: Application Review
We will review your application for services, and if it appears that you meet our basic guidelines, an appointment will be made for you with the appropriate staff member.
Step 4: Your Appointment
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call us as early as possible to cancel. This will allow us to contact other clients and help us serve as many people as possible. We will reschedule you for the next available appointment.
Step 5: What to Bring
You should bring information about the income and expenses of everyone living in the household, any court papers, leases, or contracts that relate to your legal matter. Also, please bring the names and addresses of the people involved with your problem.
Step 6: Notification of our decision
Your application for legal assistance will be reviewed by one of our staff attorneys. Once a determination has been made, we will contact you as soon as possible. This notification will be to the contact information provided on the application. Completion of an application does not mean that we have agreed to provide you with legal assistance. You do not become a client unless we tell you that we accept your case.
